Apartment Inspection
This is the AP's apartment located above the Mission Offices.
Sister Stephens, Elder Holland, Elder Lucas, Elder Pead , and Elder Stephens
I also call this apartment "The Penthouse".

This picture was taken from my car while the
missionaries waited at the bus stop-so it's a bit dark...

Elder Radle, Elder Ash, and Elder Hale

We drove North and East of Berlin to
Marzahn to deliver some new desks,
office chairs, and mattresses.  We saw some
cool things on the way.

Sister Stephens, Elder Stephens, Elder Erickson,
Elder Turman, Elder Gerlach, and Elder Roark.

We inspected their apartment.  It was nicely cleaned
but does need a few repairs.

Kitchen cabinet doors have fallen off.

Gary and I walked over to a little cafe a few blocks
from the office and had some pasta for lunch.  They
had fresh flowers on the table.  I love spring
after a dark and cloudy winter in Berlin.

After we delivered the new furniture to Marzhan, we took
the old and broken desks, mattresses, and chairs and some
broken appliances to the recycling center.

In Berlin, they recycle everything.  It is very organized with
a bin for each type of trash.

This is Elder Stephens removing some of the metal
from the broken desk so we could discard it.

In the spring when people are cleaning up
after a long winter, the line to get into the
center can take an hour.

Most apartment have four separate trash receptacles:
cardboard, plastic, biodegradable, and regular trash.

We were invited to a lesson with Mustaffa.  He was baptized
last July and is meeting every week or two with the
missionaries to learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
