Lake Havel and Zehlendorf Village

For P-day on Saturday, 21 March 2026 we
visited Lake Havel which is near the village of
Zehlendorf and Wannsee.

It was a chilly 50 degrees and overcast but so beautiful.
The beach at the lake has sandy and a gradual slope into
the water.  In the summer, I think it will be a busy beach.

Adjacent to the lake is a beautiful wooded area with
walking paths.  It was fun to commune with nature.

Zehlendorf, like most German towns, has beautiful
and historic churches and other buildings.

Many of the church roofs are green which
contrasts with the red brick.

The Farmer's Market had local fruits and vegetables
for sale.  The most robust vendor was the one
selling alcohol by the glass!

Elder Baxter, Elder Ash, Elder Radle, and Elder Hale
They live in the "hinterhaus" or basement apartment
at the Mission offices.  They ordered headbands and
wristbands to match and went for a 13 km run to the
Brandenburg Gate from their apartment.
AMAZING!

I'm official - I have a Visa for Germany!

Sister Bluhm and Sister Boyle surprised
me with flowers for "Office Worker Day".
I'm not sure that is a thing but
I love the flowers and the note
that accompanied the flowers.

Sister Wimmer, one of our office Senior Sisters
(the cutest lady in the world)
fell and broke her left foot.  She is in this boot for
six weeks.  The right foot has a "lift" so she can
walk more normally.
She is a die hard and hasn't even considered
going home!
