On Thursday, March 26, we went to
downtown Berlin to the Berlin Hbf
(train station hub) to purchase a
train card for an arriving missionary.
The office had moved from that train station
to another one.  We had a heck of a time
finding the new office, parking, walking to the
train station, walking back to our car and
trying to get our car out of the parking garage.
These experiences are ones I will never
forget, hope to never repeat, and try not to
dwell on.

I got my nails done this week.
I have let them grow out a bit-looking good!

At the airport.  Sister Ihln finally got her Visa
so she could leave for her mission.  Her call
is to St. George Utah to the visitor's center and temple.

Elder Radle is returning home to the Ogden/Layton
Utah area.  He plans to attend school at Utah State
University so we should be able to see him
again after we return home to Logan.

We were in the grocery store on Friday evening
when this sweet young lady tapped on my
shoulder and wanted to talk to us.  She is a member
who attends the Dahlem Ward.  She saw our name
tags and wanted to talk to us.  She served a mission
in London, England

We visited Sachsenhausen which is a German Concentration Camp.
It is located a little more than an hour north of Berlin.

We took the "tour" on our own.  Many tourists come in
large busses and have tour guides.

Cell Construction:  Special Prison of the Gestapo

Some prisoners were held in a prison cell that was more
isolated than the regular prisoners of war.

Many of the barracks have been torn down but the
footings remain.

The Prison building in the background was rebuilt
using materials from several other buildings.

"And I know one thing more - that the Europe of the future
cannot exist without commemorating all those,
regardless of their nationality, who were killed at that time
with complete contempt and hate, who were tortured to death,
starved, gassed, incinerated and hanged..."

The camp had a infirmary where some
were treated and some were experimented
on.  Forced sterilization and castration were
done here.

The drive to the site was through a wooded
area and was quite beautiful.
