President and Sister Henry Kosak (Jimmy's Mission President in 2012-2014)

We met President and Sister Henry Kosak at the Stake Center
on 29 November 2025.  They were our son, Jimmy's, Mission Leaders
from 2012 to 2014 when Jimmy served in the Germany Berlin Mission.
This is the same mission we are serving in.

I also met Brother Marc Schultz who also knew
Jimmy on his mission.

I learned how to make "Rouladen" this week.
(Rinderroulade)
This is a German meat dish usually consisting of bacon,
onions, mustard, and pickles wrapped in thinly sliced beef which is
then seared and cooked.

Sister Manu Stanke and Monica were in charge and
directed the three senior sister missionaries how to
make this dish.  We had 140 slabs of thin sliced meat
that we prepared.  It was.....awesome?

After they were cooked, we vacuum packed them
and froze them because this meat dish is for
next week's Zone Conference.  This is one of
the most traditional and loved meat dishes in Germany.

Elder Daniels, Elder Holland, and Sister Stephens
at the Stake Center in the midst of transfers.

Transfers all take place at the train station
hubs in Berlin, Dresden, or Leipzig.  It is a
sight to behold.  I stood at one end of the luggage
to ensure nothing was stolen.

It is a mini reunion for missionaries who might see
each other only at transfers.

This is Louise and Sister Christensen.  She
was returning home after 18 months of service in
the office.  She was the mission mom and did
all things missionary prep wise.  Her husband did
all the Visa paperwork and phones/sim cards.

This is Sister Cluff-she went home this week.
She was an amazing missionary and leader in our
mission and will be missed.

Sister Manu Stanke tried to teach Sister
Christensen and I how to make candied
almonds.  We each made 3 batches with
mixed results...

Candied Almonds

Elder Christensen and Gary helping the missionaries
redistribute the contents of their bags for going home.
Most of them were a bit over the 50 lb limit.

Elder Smith - departer

Sister Jones - departer
She is working on here "choos book" which
is a book of pics and memories that they
put together for each other as they serve
together.

Elder Koshar - an AP - he is staying...

Elder Christensen - this is his "I was right" face.
He seldom is right so we had to mark the moment...haha

For part of the exit paperwork, the missionaries
are required to put their home address.  Sister
Kartchner's family moved from America to England
while she was on her mission.  This is the address,
in England, where her parents now live...
SUCH A COOL ADDRESS!
